Walterton Adventures LLC ("we," "our," or "us") operates the HomeBase mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use HomeBase.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following types of information when you use HomeBase:
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and name.
Home profile data. Information you provide about your home, including home type, approximate age, square footage, ZIP code, and features such as garage type, water heater type, and HVAC system.
Equipment and appliance data. Details about appliances and equipment you save to your home profile, including brand, model, age, and serial number. This information may be entered by you directly or extracted from photos you upload.
Project conversations. Text messages you exchange with the AI assistant during project analysis, including your descriptions of home issues, answers to diagnostic questions, and photos you upload.
Photos. Images you upload for AI analysis of home equipment and project conditions.
Maintenance data. Reminder schedules you create and records of when you mark reminders as complete.
Usage data. Information about how you interact with the app, including features used, screens visited, and error logs for debugging purposes.
2. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide AI-powered project analysis, diagnosis, and step-by-step guidance
- Store your home profile and equipment data so recommendations are specific to your home
- Send maintenance reminders based on your home's equipment and seasonal needs
- Improve the app, fix bugs, and develop new features
- Communicate with you about your account or important updates to the service
3. Third-party services
We share data with the following third-party services in order to provide HomeBase's features:
Anthropic (Claude API). Your conversation text and uploaded photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for analysis and response generation. Anthropic processes this data in accordance with their privacy policy.
Supabase. Our database, user authentication, and file storage are hosted on Supabase's cloud infrastructure. Your data is stored in Supabase's secure PostgreSQL databases.
Apple. If you use Sign In with Apple, Apple facilitates the authentication process.
Amazon Associates. Shopping list links in project guidance may contain affiliate links to Amazon.com. We earn a small commission on qualifying purchases. No personal data is shared with Amazon through these links.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
4. Data storage and security
Your data is stored in Supabase's cloud-hosted PostgreSQL databases. All data is transmitted over HTTPS with TLS encryption. Photos are stored in Supabase Storage with access controls that restrict access to your account. API keys and secrets are stored as server-side environment variables and are never included in the app's code.
5. Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual projects and their associated conversation history at any time from within the app.
You may delete your account entirely from the app's Settings screen. When you delete your account, all associated data — including your home profile, equipment records, project conversations, photos, and maintenance reminders — is permanently removed within 30 days.
6. Children's privacy
HomeBase is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to request a copy of the data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email address below.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last updated.
